Not to be an asshole but my parents were 51 years older than me, I'm 32. To be fair I'm adopted (they are biological relatives). Having older parents can really, really suck.
The ages that they can actually do fun things with you, you're too young to remember, and by the time you're in your early to late teens, they're at the age where major health concerns kick in: ovarian cancers, prostate cancers. So you don't get to have all the cool experiences that other kids your age do.
There is the possibility of your parents dying before you finish school. Luckily both mine saw me graduate from college. But I'm 32 and both my parents are dead and they'll never get to walk me down the aisle or see my future children.
So if this is a storyline Fox wants to tell for 911 Lone Star, at least do it right.
