Yene hummed, propping his chin up on his hands, smile mischievous and his real and screen eye squinted like a pleased cat. "Who knows? I have no talent at telling the future, you'd have to ask a seer. But the fun of this game is one can never know the consequences until they come to pass, can they?"
He dropped a hand to tap his polished black nail against the spot between the cards. "What do you think your actions have done? What meaning do you assign them? After all, at the end of the day this is just a silly card game where we assign meaning to pictures and things that, perhaps, we mere mortals are too foolish to comprehend, isn't it?"
Avynie hopped back up on the cart, kicking his legs off the side and pulled his deck out of his pocket again, shuffling it absentmindedly.
Yene glanced for a split second over at Avynie, his expression shifted minutely, before it was back on Velvet and returning to it's previous amusement. "You could always pull more cards and see what your future lays out for you now. Will something have changed? Who knows?"
