"Home" is a very important imagery in Gerard's lyric writing: "Can you take me home?"; "Never coming home."; "Nothing you can say can stop me going home."

He tends to attach great importance to it, especially in terms of the action of going home or taking/driving somebody home, as in Ambulance: "And if you save my life, I'll be the one who drives you home tonight."

Often, this word intentionally points towards Mikey. Brother and FLW need no further elaborations, and in the MV for The Ghost of You, he made the connection by referring to Mikey's "death." When he was thinking "I can never come home," he was talking about losing Mikey.

So in a pretty much cliche word, Mikey = home.

Mikey symbolises the most important thing in his life. He cannot leave Mikey; he needs to get back to Mikey over and over again, and he is afraid of being "left alone." As a matter of fact, I often think of Gerard as a kid who is very afraid of being "left alone". Still, he was never truly "alone" because he has always had Mikey." That's why the two times Mike left him, he was completely freaked out and mentally paralysed.

I often find this weirdly comforting and heartwarming.

Also, tell me Emily is not another song about Mikey.

I'm a bit pissed off right now. You can't really write ANYTHING in this fandom, right???? Fan fiction is a medium for literature. So, like all literature, it is valid for fan fiction to want to touch on some really dark and serious topics, including cultural trauma. (And don't lecture me about cultural trauma because you have no idea what my people and my family went through.)

Can we stop censoring and yapping about things once we see one tag or topic? A quick moral judgement is never a good thing, especially regarding words and literature. It always leads to the dangers of censorship and the loss of freedom of expression (something I experienced firsthand).

Also, not being gatekeeping, but if you don't have this amount of openness, maybe you shouldn't be in this fandom because you are not doing any better than those who criticized the band for encouraging suicide back in the 2000s, judging the book solely by its cover.

What I'm trying to say is that it's alright to feel uncomfortable or a bit offended toward this kind of work, but harassing the author or forcing them to delete the work is NEVER the right choice.

And First, fanfic about a serious topic is just as serious as professional writing, so apply how you view a serious work of literature to this kind of fic.

Second, for God's sake, cultural trauma needs to be brought up constantly. Those who died in terrible incidents don't need to "be respected" or become a monumental symbol; they need to be remembered as people. Speak, even though wrongly romanticising problematic things in fiction, is better than keeping those things locked in the cabinet.

If we improvise with a waycest brain, the reason why the main protagonist of The Black Parade is a Patient can be because Mikey had become an actual in-patient during the time. And that’s all Gerard can think about.

The way to home.

Gerard is known for being a master of concealing feelings. His heart is a locked room. "My soul is a locked away and you are the only one who holds the key."

"You ARE my key. You are MINE. We are made for each other."

For what is a lock if without a key, and what is a key for if there's no lock?

Cemetery is kind of a weird place for rock gay couples to hang out right? On dreadful sunny days, it belongs to Marrissey; on starless nights, waycest; starry night, belongs to Vic Fuentes.

I was actually thinking about some cross over ideas...

Just saying, maybe we shouldn't idolize rock stars and view them as role models...just saying.

Also, my personal belief is that if ever a person says anything about your favorite rock stars, well, "you better hear it and fear it".

Sometimes I think they are indeed shallow because yes they have a linguistic expert, and yes they made a whole new alphabet, but it's still root in english phonology, grammar and syntax. Come on it's just a cipher (and an easy one), how boring is that!
