inferior, cannot think of a single use case for it. powder? good for fry batters. fresh? nearly always the best option for everything else. paste? so long as there's nothing extra added to it for flavour it's useful if you're lazy and don't want to bust out a food processor (also depends on the brand frankly, there's some pretty wretched pastes out there and even then it's always better to just mush up fresh stuff anyway)

this is a placebo with zero flavour. this is homeopathic garlic. i've yet to be convinced there is even garlic in here.
