Behold my Animal Crossing playtime almost being more than every other game on the list combined

It was pretty funny/concerning to go through the "most played games by individual month" for 2020 onwards and it's just like "January is Animal Crossing! February is Animal Crossing! March is Animal Crossing! April is–" (Though of course there are plenty of months where I didn't play Animal Crossing at all)

I did two 100% playthroughs of Odyssey, so I guess that's why it's so high up compared to other platformers 🤔

As for the 2025-specific overview:

I have been essentially living in Lumiose City for the last few months, so I guess I had to pick Legends Z-A for my favourite. It was very close between that and Donkey Kong Bananza though

I just did the ranked battles on Legends Z-A for the first time to get the Kalos starter mega stones, and my Vanilluxe was actually doing really well for some reason??? It was probably because I was coming across a lot of 4x-weak-to-Ice Pokémon (Dragonite, Zygarde, Noivern), but still. It was very satisfying to lurk in the shadows and snipe a Zygarde with an Ice Beam

Though to be fair, I also came across a lot of Fire types, which I had pretty much no counter for. There's nothing more terrifying than standing in the corner with my poor Vanilluxe with a Mega Emboar on one side and a Mega Delphox on the other, and they're both coming right towards me 😭

Denny's/Waffle House AU: B+ only because i've never heard of it but now that i know it exists i want more??? my thing with aus is that they have to really work to recreate the dynamics and intrigue w/o the original context and a coffee shop sucks because it's too twee, its not got enough different roles and possible points of contention. a 24/7 diner has a walk in freezer, a back alley to smoke cigarettes in, waiters and linecooks and customers and managers like theres just more to play with. i... iwant to write this now. it sounds so fun.

fix it: C i think. I never seek it out but some interesting concepts are kind of lowkey fix its in a way? usually though, i love characters for the trials they suffer so idr want them to avoid those.

fluff: C, im very neutral in the sense that you need some good fluffy times to make the angst worth it sometimes but just fluff is nothing to me. i almost graded this lower but i remembered my last project ended on legit tooth rotting cotton candy flavored fluff, so i cant be too critical.

only one bed: A++ i just recently waded into the dark waters of reader inserts to see what only one bed content i could dredge up... nothing good. but i wanted something. theres sort of only one bed (its not a bed but there is only one of them) in one of my gh week fics like. its intoxicating. especially long term only one bed. slowburn only one bed. is anyone listening???

wow do fics for white cat legend (tv series) just. not exist. i thought it was minimal in english so i looked in 漢語 / 中文 and there were Less. none at all in 日本語. am i about to have to populate the white cat legend ao3 tag by myself.
