College AU | Alyx&Derek
Grabbing the last box from her car, Alyx balanced it on her hip and slammed the trunk shut before locking it and slipping her keys into her back pocket. The campus was teeming with men and women, all around her age. A small smile curved her lips upwards as she headed up the two sets of stairs and into her room.
The wolf had already begun to unpack, taking the bed farthest from the door. She had to admit, the idea of college had seemed like a dream just last summer but now here she was, about to learn the things she's wanted her entire life. Her mom would be so proud. She took the picture of her mother and set it on the desk, smiling at it sadly. That was the last of her things.
The room was a rather large one, with a TV hanging on the wall between the two beds. Alyx had managed to decorate her side with band posters and drawings, some her own, most had been given to her by her old best friend. Grabbing the sheet from the desk, she skimmed over it, taking in all the information about orientation but stopping when she saw her roommates name.
Derek.
What an odd name for a girl. Shrugging it off, Alyx ran a hand through her bright hair and slipped her phone from her pocket, sending off a text to let her friend know she was all set up.
