Not only because this hazy is packed with flavors of mango, peach, and tangerine, but because this is a conversation I’ve had with myself a lot recently. It’s not enough to be against racism. We must take direct action against racism. We must have the hard conversations with loved ones. We must listen to the oppressed. #Repost @letshavesomebeershow ・・・ So I have this really bad habit. Sometimes when I go to a brewery and enjoy a few too many beers, I tend to spend wayyy too much money on Togo beer. Well last week at @moderntimesanaheim I had such an experience. This is the result. Fellowship of Xul is a 13.5% Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels with peanut butter, cocoa nibs, vanilla, coconut, and almonds. Adjuncts up the ASS and I ain’t mad at it one bit! The bourbon character is quite subtle to me. It tastes more like those peanut butter brownies if there were crushed almonds and coconut shavings on top. It’s a dessert stout with a kick! Thanks @moderntimesbeer for emptying my wallet. I ain’t hatin’ cuz this beer is friggin’ delicious! #Repost @letshavesomebeershow ・・・ Damn. I did some celebrating today with my friends Ben and Jen at @moderntimesanaheim and had the greatest time! The old Victorian house is now open and we found a room where it was just us, which was amazing. I had hazy beers that blew my mind, including Nearly As Fast As Light, a 7.8% hazy ipa that was brewed in collaboration with my homies at @greatnotion I’ve been to this spot several times now and from food to beer to ambiance, it is always impressive. If you live in the OC area, this is a necessary spot to visit! I promise you won’t regret it!
