#letstalktuesday I asked this on my personal FB yesterday, so this isn’t necessarily a writing-specific question, however, I do feel it relates very much to the way we show up to the page, on the page, in community with few low writers, and in engaging with our readers. We are living in dramatically unique times. As we continue to March forward, each of us carrying our own griefs, anxieties, furies, and more, I am wondering how we are to walk back in our worlds “as if” not much has changed. Show up to your writing, your job, your family, your holidays and traditions, just like the old times we have longed for. I think we need to be taking dramatic self-care actions in order to fortify ourselves as we move forth. I am seeking my recipe for such fortification these days, adding and subtracting things to my life one step at a time, but it is all (like writing a book) a seriously long process and I feel like I am in that maddening first draft “pantsing” my way through this messiness wondering how brutal the revision stage will be.
