OH FUCK I FORGOT TO LINK MY EVENT POST IN THE HAITHAM LETTER
The letters did not stop even after all truths had been detailed and explained to the Oathguard masses -- all except a few back on the home front.
A pair of vibrant greens blinked, attention scanning over the letter once more that had been opened and addressed to her father, word that Syrahn had sent to inform him of other supplies and shipments. How could one explain such a situation without panic and worry? Swiftly her eyes then anchored to the unopened collection of letters address to Ijiro.
Kaevia was running out of room to swim, and fast.
Her utensil tapped softly along the desk and her eyes pinned back to the blank parchment before her, already it was filled with unwritten words but she knew such a thing would never be sent. How could someone send a response in reply of a question pertaining to something as important as supplies without touching on why the intended person wasn’t replying or why the letters from her lover had not returned? Kaevia’s lips pursed hard to where the fleshy tiers pressed to nearly turn white.
“ I hate this….all of this.” through and through, she reminded herself mentally and at the drop of the pen her fingers fumbled over the small communicator her husband gave her. The small dome structure served as a wonderful way of contacting Briel’a whenever she could though her time was limited, bedtime stories were kept up with to the best of her ability and even though the bustle of worries the Oathguard faced -- her love for her children endured, the worry so sickly accompanying her stomach every morning and night.
The Priestess pulled from the chair with the object in hand and her work abandoned for the time being. A few moments didn’t hinder her (already) touch of a struggle. Perhaps it was best to let her mind relax and feel normal for a few brief moments before finding the madness once more. The nook of the chaise is where she found herself and the hum and glow of the dome within her hands activated, “ Little sparrow, it’s minn’da.” and she reached for a storybook along the nightstand....
