Letter#76- Baptisms- 4.18.2016
Hey! This week was full of miracles. Juan from my last sector was baptized (in the pictures he is the bigger one) He is the one that lost his leg in an accident. He decided he would be baptized last minute and it was a huge miracle. I loved it. He was baptized Sunday morning. Miguel was baptized Saturday. He had a lot of opposition and miracles. I believe that both baptisms happened because our whole zone fasted for them, it was a huge miracle and testimony for me of fasting. The biggest miracle of the week is that we left the font full Saturday night. We were scared because it is dangerous when it is dark outside and we did not want Hermana Bentley and her companion to have to go to fill up the font early in the morning. I was praying so hard that Juan could have warm water so that His leg wouldn't hurt. When the Hermanas got there the water was still warm from the other day because we closed it all up. Juan had two people help him to be baptized. It was beautiful. I am so happy for both of them in the decision they made. God truly does answer our prayers. I have a testimony that fasting brings the powers of Heaven and allows us to assist God in realizing miracles. To me God is truly blessing me to finish my mission in the best way. I am so grateful. I have truly come to know Him personally and feel a personal relationship with Him, thanks to prayers.
I loved your pictures. Congrats Dad and Connor on your biking thing. How many miles was it? Jess, that is crazy that you were there for such a big earthquake. I hope you are all okay. I love you all. Kendra good luck on the move. I loved seeing you and mom's pictures. This week I've been studying chapter 3 in Preach My Gospel to be able to learn more about the lessons to teach better. I learned that to endure to the end means to stay strong to the commandments of God even though you are faced with temptations, opposition and adversity. Which afflictions, temptations are currently stopping us from living the commandments of God? What can we do to overcome them? I will endure and enjoy to the end of my mission and then for all of my life thanks to the support of the Savior. He truly does carry us through every day. I love you all, Hermana Pemberton
