I know right? I'm like....how the hell did you find this? like wtf? I'm like more scared at where/how they got this pic/audio/video from..it's like wtf...

like for the mic audio it's not super complicated to 'hack' because they use wireless microphones which means all you really need to do is know the frequency that specific person transmits on and you can get it that way. but that means that the person that got this had to know what they were doing so like an audio tech or some one with a stage tech background.  which is kind of intense to think about because theres a lot more audio things they could get into.

either way i am disappointed that the bits of audio they stole was not during more zayn heavy songs, like come on now. if you're gonna take the time to hack something hack the right part of that something.

What caused it to be a dystopia?

a nuclear war between the united states and russia which led to what would be classified as world war 3, though not many other nations got much time to really retaliate and join sides. it took about three months of warfare to drop the population by 55%. north america is completely dead as is most of north eastern europe and asia.  theirs only three large settlements left in the entirety of the world and that's New London (which is actually roughly twice the size of what tokyo was)  a settlement in china and a settlement in south america. any and all other groups of people are largely nomadic and concentrated mostly in europe, southern asia and south america. 

i kind of took my creative sci-fi license with this au as well and made it so the larger settlements are large simply because they found hidden technology that the uk, china and the us had been working on and had locked away to keep safe when the war hit. this technology is futuristic and made it so that the 'center' cities of the large settlements are actually more utopia's than dystopia. the dystopia part is the use of working camps, human branding, totalitarian government and the use of special military forces.
