[LUCAS] @letxtherebelight
There were definitely some similarities between Helios — or Lucas — and him, and needless to say, of course there were differences. Their powers were both light based, even if it differed in origin — or at least they assumed it did (for all they did know, perhaps Lucas’ ancestors were sun-touched, literally, just as Devrim was). Neither Devrim nor Empyrean sensed anything of the sort whenever he was near the other but that could just as easily been a case of dilution with the passing of powers through Leight’s generations.
Empyrean, and occasionally Devrim, had been training (with) Lucas for a while now — working on various aspects of their powers, though they had to get creative since the Emergency Chamber consisted of hard-light constructs, which gave them an unfair advantage to whatever scenario they wounded up in. Even accounting for that by tailoring the training routine to be less about destruction and maximising the strength of their powers, and more about technique, style, accuracy and alertness, the fact that they could sense when enemies were being spawned because of their innate nature to sense light made things less challenging (or more, depending on how one would look at it). They’d planned to meet at 10 in morning, but he’d always been a little early, and so when he saw Lucas walking down the corridor to the Chamber he closed the distance, gesturing his head by way of a greeting, “You’ve rested for today?”
