okay i'm watching the korean version of leverage. here are my thoughts
the music is very similar, but it's mostly piano-esque and has vocals
korean eliot is being portrayed as outright hot, whereas american eliot is more implied hot. they're both hot but portrayed differently.

i love how the korean version also uses "guards are people and easily distracted/preoccupied with sports/pretty girls/etc" as a plot device
korean parker gets angry quickly
korean hardison is also chatty about his creations/geeky stuff

so far it's just korean parker and hardison working together, there's no sign of the other members. though another member was mentioned. korean hardison said "so and so will be waiting for you at the lobby" (i didn't catch their name rip)

he left her lmfaooo but that's not something that american hardison would ever do to parker
i think korean sterling just arrived. his name is lee tae joon, and iys is samwha life
actually, this might be nate. it's not clear yet. it feels like nate. it's an insurance agent though, so it really could be either nate or sterling, but he's too nice to the museum owner and not cryptic enough to be sterling. he is aloof enough to be nate though

tae joon has a friend with him. he's a bit goofy so idk who it is from american leverage. but they found the "stolen" painting. the museum owner hired someone to steal it
okay the scene changed and now we're at a children's hospital and there's a magician.
OMG okay tae joon is nate! he arrived at the children's hospital to visit his sick son and his wife. this is a backstory for the leverage crew omg
seon kyu is tae joon's son and it looks like he's receiving chemotherapy.
oh no he's having an asthma attack or something :( he has leukemia and the transplant did not work. he has three months to live :( the doctor says there's a medicine that works well but it won't be available for public use for 2-3 years :((
tae joon went to seek out the doctor/hospital that created the medicine (i think). now he's at a chinese restaurant. they have the same name (dongyang hospital, dongyang chinese restaurant).
there's a doctor in the back of the restaurant. maybe it's alternative medicine

omg tae joon is sneaking around. his investigator side is really coming out
there's a kid there receiving treatment and tae joon is gonna talk to him. he has the same thing that seon kyu has! tae joon was about to steal the medicine but the doctor caught him and threatened him. he's chastising tae joon for worrying about money even when his kid is dying. now he's begging. now they're talking !
tae joon is also an alcoholic
the doctor is asking if tae joon is willing to steal to save his son and tae joon says no. he's saying korean stole his research. he wants his research back and he wants tae joon to steal it. he's offering the medicine for it.
he's drinking!!! oh no
seon kyu is receiving the experimental medicine. it seems to be working ! but he needs the medicine to be administered regularly.
awww seon kyu wants to come up with a secret sign to let his dad know when he's in pain so that his mom doesn't find out :(

tae joon is saying he'll pay parker if she just gets in. apparently eui sung did not pay her. he's offering them double what they were supposed to be paid for the museum job
they're having a similar "nate is joining the dark side" conversation.
oop he's offering to take the fall if it all goes wrong.
they have the tv with the plans displayed on it too. this reminds me of the second crew set up in the two live crew job. they also have the curtains background.
an ex us marine corp is head of the security team of the hospital they're trying to steal from, and they need to get the job done before he returns
omg the same face close-ups are used for tae joon like they are for nate.
i noticed they don't have a discussion about the ear piece.
omg eui sung's card thingy didn't work because he needed facial recognition as well.
na byeol is always threatening eui sung with death lmfaooo
i wonder when eliot and sophie will come in. my guess is that the marine corp guy is eliot but i'm not sure.
na byeol has to use light switches to open the secured doors, but she didn't know which ones they needed open, so she had to switch all of them. it was pretty funny
okay now we're seeing who i'm assuming is the marine corp guy and eliot. he's in the boxing ring. he's also shirtless, which i suspect will be a running theme. he's getting a phone call.
OMG he got a call that there's theives at the biomedical lab omggg double cross.
they're trying to leave the facility
eui sung almost didn't make it through one of the doors. he tried to slide but his clothes got caught 💀
oh wait they're trying to get to the server room
the police have arrived, they have less than 4 minutes and they just barely arrived at the server room. security are also there though. eui sung is in there and trying to evade the security guys who are being very thorough
tae joon told na byeol to take the screws she unscrewed from the vent and toss them down.
na byeol is beating the guards up and using her taser just like parker! eui sung is very impressed. they completed the job, now they have to leave.
the chinese doctor has received the data, but he's calling tae joon to tell him the data did not arrive and that he will pay for it. now he's turning on eui sung, but they've also just discovered that the zip line wire was cut, so i think they figured out that someone sabotaged them.
i think tae joon just ran out onto the street and got hit by a car. i think he's trying to meet the chinese doctor. he's wondering what happened.
oh wait he ran across the street to unlock getaway cars for them. he's driving away and entering the parking garage of the biomedical lab. eliot is chasing him.
omg this scene is so intense.

tae joon thinks na byeol and eui sung are dead, but we know better. tae joon is getting arrested
the end credits say "based on the electric entertainment series leverage created by john rogers and chris downey" so it is very much so inspired by american leverage.
i wonder how they'll get korean eliot on board with their crew. as far as korean eliot is concerned, these group of thieves broke in and stole from his place of work. he had nothing to do with the original heist. i also wonder when korean sophie will arrive.
anyway, it was pretty good! highly recommend!
