the gushing about an oc ask game
The last OC I wrote plot about (in my head but I loved it so much I need to talk about it) were Yrsa amd Alexej. It was a short drabble — or maybe rather an outline — of one of the intimate interactions between them. For Alexej it is hard to accept love or affection in general. That would mean he had to let his guard down, shut off all alarm mechanisms, to actually let someone close enough to him to physically touch him. Yrsa is willing to accept every boundary Alexej sets her and will respect every decision, every no, every yes, when it comes to these kinds of boundaries.
So, in this scene, they are laying in a bed. They are facing each other but not touching at first. They hold eye contact for a while until Yrsa feels bold enough to slowly raise her hand and ever so lightly touch Alexej’s face. He flinches but eventually relaxes when she only puts her hand into his cheek, gentle strokes of her thumb ease his mind. She starts drawing aimless patters with her fingertips, following all the lines in his face. His eye brows, cheek bones, nose, lips (she would have bet her ass that he would stop her there). But only when Yrsa reaches his jaw and attempts to go down his neck, she feels Alexej tense up entirely.
She holds her hand in place, not moving, telling him that she needs him to let her know when he wants her to stop. His voice raspy when he tells her, he will. But Yrsa is not stretching her luck there, without a second thought she resumes to his face. When she gently cups his cheek, Alexej puts his hand over hers. He keeps holding her hand even when has them lying on the mattress between them.
Yrsa smiles because she knows how big of a step that was for their trust, for the strength of their relationship that has not been properly established by the time this scene happens.
