Levi's vision had been going in and out for a while now. He felt himself not far from entirely blacking out, the drugs in his system doing what they were intended to do. His world was shattered. There was nothing left of it anymore. Part of him was crying because he wished he would've never found the truth, but a bigger part of him cried over Leto. He had lost Leto tonight and it had been his fault. Why wouldn't it? He knew from the start that it would be becausse of him that one day he would end up losing Leto.
And like the stray he was, Levi sought comfort in the streets.
As the vampire sat in an alley way, a half empty bottle of whiskey loosely gripped in one hand, grief-stricken eyes gazed up at a starless night sky. There were only two other times Levi had ever been this bad. The first was the night Agathe found him, having finally hit rock bottom that night. The second was when Agathe left him. While he can't remember the pain he felt the first night he had found refuge in an alleyway, he does remember the first night without Agathe. He should've known better, should've known he was setting Leto up for failure. His heart screamed, all he wanted was to go back home.
It's better this way. He's better off without you.
Levi's mind refused to allow him to entertain the thought of home, whispering words of doubt to him instead. He needed to feed. It had been a bit since the last time he had. His head lazily rolls to the side, tearing his eyes from the night sky, his gaze falling on the vision of an angel that seemed to glide towards him. The pain of hunger struck him again, his vision blurring more, but she continued to get closer. He looked into familiar eyes, unsure if what he was seeing was real or not.
“Agathe,”
