Uke Up this Sunday + birthday news

It's Uke Up this Sunday, 7pm at The Kingsway. We'll be working from Songbook 9 again. Download Songbook 9 here. There's also a Youtube playlist here. Also worth checking out is the first track on this video for Laura Dukes' version of Crawdad.

It's not long now until our second birthday party on Sunday 23rd March. Everybody welcome - we had a blast at the last one (check out this video to see what happened).

Yay, it's Uke Up tomorrow!

Also, for those of you that expressed an interest in doing the workshop with Manitoba Hal, this now looks set to take place on Saturday 7th June. Final details TBC.

We had a ball at our Christmas bash last Sunday! Thanks to everyone who came, took part and made it what it was. Thanks also to the Kingsway for being such good hosts. Well done to everyone who took part in the cabaret - watch this video of edited highlights that Andrew put together.

Uke Up tonight!

It's Uke Up tonight, 7pm at the Kingsway. This is our last meet up before our Christmas bash on the 8th, so bring the Christmas songbook with you tonight!

Uke Up this Sunday + Christmas news!

Just a quick reminder that it's Uke Up this Sunday, 7pm at the Kingsway. It's another free-for-all session, so bring your favourites from the songbooks along to play. We've also finalised the details for the Levy Uke Up Christmas Bash! This will take place on Sunday 8th December, 7pm at the Kingsway. The event will be an unplugged ukulele cabaret followed by a big old sing song from our Christmas songbook. Mulled wine, mulled cider and mince pies will be available from the bar. If you would like to do a turn in the cabaret, make yourself known. Collaborations are positively encouraged :) If you missed it, there's some photos from the Supper Club gig up on the website. Back to normal

Well, we had a BLAST at last night's Supper Club! Everyone got into the Blitz spirit and we loved playing for such an up-for-it crowd who sang and clapped along. We'll be posting some photos in the coming days. Well done to everyone involved in organising the event - head over to the Supper Club Facebook page, give them a like and stay up to date with their future events.

So, after two months of playing songs from 1940's, Levy Uke Up will now be getting back to normal, meeting every second and last Sunday of the month at The Kingsway pub from 7pm. Which means it's Uke Up tonight! Bring your favourites down (a few people have suggested the Greatest Hits songbook) and we can have a good old wig out without any gig pressures. Oh and we'll be discussing our Christmas plans too (well, it is nearly November...).
