Howling Halloween | Dhani & Lewis
The night had just started, little talks here and there. It was all nice until he just kept feeling more warm by the second. “I need to head out, get some air.” He said to the one he was talking to and headed for the door. A kind of tunnel vision happened, not caring who was in his way, all he knew was that he needed to get out of there. His mood had gone from ready to party to get me out of here in hardly any time at all.
He held his hands over his ears, there just seemed to be so much noise around. Finally he reached the hallway, half running through it to get to the doors that lead outside. Just as he was about to reach the door a loud snap sounded, a snap that came from his back initially. Lewis fell down to the floor, yelling out in agony. More snaps sounded, the breaking of bones, one by one the torture continued and he knew he was going to faint. Though he had a high pain limit, this was just unbearable and he couldn’t understand what was happening to him.
His eyes closed and all turned to darkness. When he blinked his eyes open it was still dark and felt the weight of his clothes on him, shaking it off. The pain had stopped and he let out a sigh of relief which sounded very strange. Eyes were cast down and then he saw it, instantly scurrying back against a wall. Paws, he had freakin paws. He tried to call out for help but it came out as a howling sound. He couldn’t understand, had he been bitten and didn’t know about it somehow? Curling up into a ball, seeing people pass by, some in panic, apparently he wasn’t the only one in trouble. What he did know was that he needed to find out how to turn back to himself, but how to find that out when nobody could understand him? He picked up his top hat and his collar with his teeth, walking back inside, hoping someone would recognize the collar and outfit at least. “Hello?! Can anybody hear me?” He said when he put his items down but all that sounded was that howling and barking.
“I hear you! Where are you?” Dhani spoke with the other wolf, in the same manner. He didn’t realize exactly what he was doing, communicating that way, but instinct took over and soon enough he could smell something, though not someone, familiar. He heard Lewis bark and howl. He gave a short howl back in reply, to let him know he was coming. He’d never met Lewis before, but he could smell wolf. Not that Dhani had been a wolf for too long. But he’d gone through his transformation outside earlier and had a little more time to enjoy being in this form.
His wolf was a smaller, slimmer variety, more brown and tan than grey, black on his back, thinner fur and long legs. A red sash that had once been a part of his Prince Eric costume hung loose around his middle, but his master’s collar still fit around his neck, blue-grey leather wings with a metal ring, though Dhani didn’t have any binding magic attached to it anyway, being human.
“I’m Dhani.” Dhani said, whining a little, worried as the other seemed obviously frightened. “I think they did something to the candy or drinks or something.”
