Example McGregor Mendel (1822 - 1884) was an Augustinian botanist. His research into cultivation of plants which possessed specific traits led to him being regarded as the father of modern genetics.
His published work was the first to describe genetic laws such as
Law Of Segregation
Law of Independent Assortment.
