So this is today's sketchbook page :) I'm still trying to get comfortable with those cute faces and not to make them look like children every time... Though, admittedly, my characters tend to have big cute eyes ^-^"

Q+A: LEXXA

1. The one song I wish I wrote is... Maude: Carly Rae Jepsen - emotion, the whole album Julia: Adele - someone like you

2. Three things I can’t live without are... J: my laptop, lip balm (newly found life saver, late to the game), headphones M: my yellow beanie, blue hair dye, ice cream

3. If I could only play music in one genre for the rest of my life it would be... J: the type I play now!!  synth pop M: pop music always

4. If I held a world record it would be for... J: most sleep M: most la Croix drink unironically

6. My first memory of loving music is... l-o-v-e i love you and you love me

7. The song of mine that I am the most proud of is… It’s always just the most recent song I write

8. One band I could listen to on repeat forever is… J: Openside M: all I need is the princess diaries soundtrack

9. The ideal environment for me to create music in is… J: my bed M: somewhere where theres a cat to pat

10. If I could have any two bands open for me they would be… We were considering asking Taylor Swift to open for us but if she cancels then we will hit up Black Sabbath

11. What’s in the future for LEXXA? Hopefully an album soon yay!

12. What’s been your favourite show/onstage moment so far? We opened for Elemeno P along with the The Beths on the last Saturday ever at the Kings Arms. That was pretty great and special. Or when we opened for Openside in Hamilton.

13. Where do you guys draw inspiration for your music? Definitely real life experience

14. Is your music a collaborative effort? Or do you assign different elements to different members? We each have different strengths that intertwine and work perfectly together

15. Lastly - convince us to come to your show in 3 words. Best jokes ever

Based in Aukland, New Zealand, twin sisters Maude and Julia Morris make music as LEXXA and released a super charming feel-good video for “I Got Better Friends Now”.  The synth-pop duo demonstrates their humorous side, when they dance around musical instruments, play with cute puppies or drown themselves in water.
