She’s still going to do it, holding a blade up to the light and watching it shine sharp against the outline of the window behind them before tucking it into its place there at her waist. She smiles over at him, as if attempting to offer him some kind of comfort.
“He’s just a person,” she hums, perhaps trying to convince herself. “He bleeds, and he’ll die.”
