is this you sir
I should be insulted. I honestly should be.
But I think this is just exhausting. The effort this must've cost you would be so much more better suited to more important matters.

gifted kid burnout culture is not being able to be proud of anything you have achieved since you know how much you threw away your mental health to do it

👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings? (2)
thank you aspen I am kissing you on the forehead She and her family are, to wildly understate it, estranged. They're the reason she became a priestess; they gave her up as a candidate when she was a young child (think like, 6 or 7- at the beginning of her story, for reference, she's 19). It was their way of getting rid of their "wild" child and trying to force her into conformity, because the religion she's a priestess of is actually a cult. She probably has a younger 'normal' sibling, but her memories of her family are weak. She tries not to think about them very much, and considers her mentor (the woman previously in her position) to be almost like a mother instead. She has no idea that her parents hated her, and simply doesn't think of them because she can't remember much and it distracts her from everything else she has to take care of. undecided on whether or not she runs into them again, but at some point she will realize that the way they treated her even as a little kid was awful and that they're not worth going back to
I'm not someone you really know but I'm hoping you feel better soon Green!
Aw, thank you. Y'all really are the best <3
