10 contemporary LGBT playwrights who have made a significant impact in the representation of the LGBT community through their work.
Wow! It is now August 1st and I have made it through my #31PlaysJuly project having read 35 plays, by 35 playwrights, all female, trans, and/or people of color!!! Here is a retrospective collage in four parts of all 35 plays! I have decided that, as best I can, I am going to continue this project (!!!) under the new hashtag #ChrisReadsPlays. This has now become a sort of daily practice for me, and I have so many plays left to read in my library, female and male, white and POC, classic and modern playwrights alike, plus other works by playwrights I read this July. I don't know how long I can maintain this, but I'd like to try, even if I miss a day or two here and there, until my library is completely read (and reread for plays I've not read in years, or only seen).
