Kenta hides how silly he feels in his lifeguard outfit with a bright smile. His bright red outfit is courtesy of his job, which he'll have to rush to once he gets a few takes of this self-tape in, and a local party store. He just hopes that no one will need the spare rescue tube before he clocks in... As he tilts his head to the side, the first move of the choreography he's attempting (0:38 - 1:14), he makes the worries of his part-time gig float away. He enjoys dancing and how it brings him out of the shell he built himself years ago. He doesn't have to worry about saying something wrong or stupid--his body does the talking for him. Now, at this stage of his training, his body might not hit every move as sharply as the fancam he studied, but he's resigned himself to that fact. Kenta focuses on the rhythm and keeping time with the music. Oh and smiling. He should definitely smile again. Once complete with the short segment of Thrill Ride, he stands straight and bows to the camera, grabbing the tube that his steps had almost tripped over a few times. "Hello, I'm Kenta," he introduces, holding the tube appropriately in front of his chest. "The legacy trainee ready to save and protect your heart!" he continues, more confidently than he began. "I hope to be an idol your can depend on. Let's swim together soon!" He finishes with another bow, bright smile, and empathetic wave.

She breathes in, crossing her hands behind her back as she begins introducing herself. “I’m Oh Haeyang,” she says, eyes not quite reaching the camera, “I live in Seoul,” she continues self consciously, “and I’ve been taking a break from university.” Then, nervously playing with her hands, “And I aim to become an actress,” she concludes, a wry smile slipping through the cracks of her face. … … [HAEYANG stares at an undetermined point in the distance, a ¾ view from the camera] [HAEYANG’s eyes flicker up] HAEYANG: When you're tired and sad, [HAEYANG holds up her two hands, staring fixedly and unblinkingly at them, as if they were to disappear at any moment] try looking at your fingers. Then one by one, move them around. It'll feel very mysterious. There were a few things that Siwoo could have easily shown as a skill of his for this, whether it was his acting skills or even something else he had learned after being a trainee thus far, however, he had decided on doing a piano cover of Haru’s ‘Really Really’ instead. Of course it was difficult to really show off a lot of the great parts of the song within a short amount of time, though he hoped that those who were going to be watching would still enjoy what he was able to show regardless of how much time he got.

Siwoo’s fingers skillfully move across the keys of the piano as he plays, keeping his focus solely on making sure that this is perfect. When playing piano, he always made sure to take this little ‘hobby’ seriously just like he did with his training he did under the company. Only when he’s finished does Siwoo finally stand before bowing towards the camera and smiles as he introduces himself to the viewers. “Hello everyone! My name is Kang Siwoo. I’m a twenty-three year old aspiring actor here at Legacy. I hope that you all enjoyed my little piano cover of Haru sunbaenim’s ‘Really Really’, though I wish I could have shown you the full version but maybe I can in the future!” He laughs softly at his own words. “I hope to see you all real soon but as actor Siwoo instead!”

Koa's sanity had long escaped the vicinity of his mind. Nothing but twitches of unexpected flames inkling up the back of his spine like a visible hot shiver. He no longer bothered rejecting the situation as it stifled his body into unfamiliar emotions— no, this felt.. right.

The pad of his index leisurely inched its way over the span of the guitar's neck, bits circling around to create an original tune he'd been working to achieve over the past two months. It felt natural to be able to utilize a creative input of his own outside of a cover most pick up the week before. The beat was sweet, gentle, matched the tone of his soft rapping style.

"Yeah, they say when you grow up, 'You'll understand when you're older.' Guess I'm still a kid, I don't know if If I'll ever let go of this. Say goodbye to the old me. We ain't friends anymore, you don't know me."

The rusty self-composed piece came to in end rather quickly as only one verse contained enough confidence to share to the camera. That's when the awkward settlement of his personality seethed in (quite the opposite of his performance aura). Koa's fingers fiddled with the string, a blank look captivating his face despite the forced smile imprinted. He could never prove himself to look more appealing, or friendly, in these situations.

"Hi, uh- My name is Koa Imada. I'm from Osaka and I'm 18.. I've been training for two years now at Legacy." The boy paused to take a brief second to think; his breath slightly shaky as hair was being brushed from around his eyes out of nervous ticks. "For debut- my dream is to be able to write or produce music for other's.. Yeah. I want to perform- but sharing music with my friends or members sounds.. Nice.."

How cheesy.

she’s not quite sure that she’s ready for a recording like this; she’s only been training for a very short time and her skills fall quite short when compares to the other girls she’s trying to keep up with. but yinuo is nothing if not resourceful, nothing if not clever. she may not be the best singer, or the best dancer, or really know her place in the company at all so far, but boy does she take a good photograph.

if only she had a better mastery over korean.

her smile is bright and bow pristine when she greets the camera as if it’s a respected guest, introducing herself in careful pronunciation and a (purposefully?) nervous tremor in her voice. she seems to be coaching herself through this; don’t mess up, don’t mess up. in reality, she has confidence. she just knows what those watching might expect to see.

“hello, i’m yinuo,” she waves brightly at the camera, hoping that movement will distract from her shaky pronunciation. “i’ve been practicing for five months, so i can only show you… this,” the girl pulls a cell phone out from behind her back, grinning just as warmly as when she first greeted the camera. she looks rather proud of herself. “i’m a master in taking selcas. i’ll show you some tricks,”

she spends the next thirty seconds demonstrating how to use natural lighting to one’s advantage, how to show as many angles in a pose as possible for visual interest, and what expressions capture well in photos. most of it is spoken in mandarin, her korean still failing her when trying to get into the finer details.

“i’m still so new, so i’m not sure where i want to go,” she’s speaking fully in mandarin now, korean all but completely abandoned when it comes to putting her personal thoughts into words, “i’m just excited to learn and see what the future will bring me!”

nimble fingers dance over keys of an upright piano. soft, soulful music fills the room, the owner of the fingers swaying with the ebb and flow of the music as if being pushed by the tide. he’s grown up doing this, but still he knows that his mother would find some sort of critique for him. to the layman it may sound flawless but he can already hear her voice; she’d tell him that he was half a beat off on this chord, that he could have built more tension if he held that rest for a moment longer. still, jiahn is proud of this, of what she’s taught him and others since have further refined. he thinks that she would be proud too, despite the notes she undoubtedly has.

the music seems to lull itself to sleep, each key sounding quieter and quieter until jiahn presses the last few almost lovingly. he breathes a sigh, lets any remaining tension bleed away from his shoulders. it’s over, this is the one for the video. no more repeat takes as he finds himself unsatisfied with the results; this one is close enough to perfect to release.

the angle changes but the scenery does not; now focused in on the pianist as if for an interview. jiahn greets the camera politely with a bow before a shy smile crawls across his face. someone once told him to lean into the aussie thing, that it’d be attractive to fans. so he does, albeit a tad too shyly. “g’day,” he starts in english. “i’m justin song. i grew up in australia, but i’m originally from seoul.” he repeats the introduction again in korean, only introducing himself as song jiahn this time. in truth, he doesn’t know which name he should be called. but that identity crisis doesn’t need to be held on camera.

“i hope to show you the best sides of myself. from piano, to dance, to english,” he continues in korean and risks another smile, listing off his skills with just a little bit of pride. “and to be a vital member of my team, someday. hopefully. i want to be the part of a team that everyone knows that they can rely on to do a good job and help others.”

he wonders if that’s enough, or if they’re expecting something more. he doesn’t want to be the best. he doesn’t want the solitude of a solo career. he wants to be loved by fans and groupmates alike, to be the best that he can possibly be and have a purpose to give his all to. he worries that he doesn’t sound ambitious enough. maybe they won’t like it.

“please support me and watch me chase my dreams!” he bows again at the camera and thanks the viewer for their time.

When the backtrack begins, Kangdae steps out from the left side of the screen with a red wired microphone nestled in the sturdy grip of his inked fingers. This would be the second time he produces an introduction video after he had left his previous company back in 2017 a month before his debut. The red color of his hair stands out as much as the intense rebellious expression on his face while he sings the English lyrics to an MGK song that he considered a musical equivalent to the current state of his success.

Confident is the only term that could be effectively associated with Kangdae’s demeanor as he transitions part-way through the shortened track with his own personalized rap. The song hadn’t called for one but he had arranged the guitar riffs to fit one to his taste. The lyricist within him verbally exposed himself on camera until his performance time dwindled into an end and he’s smiling at the screen as if he hadn’t just assaulted the viewers with rhymes so quick it would make anyone’s head spin. His time away led him to partake in the underground scene which had been fruitful as he continued to gain a large following through social media. His stage presence has never been stronger.

The stool that had been resting in the center of the space was now shifted a bit forward so he could sit. The clean underside of brand new sneakers stepping on the metal bars as he sat with his legs spread and his elbows on his knees. There’s a knowing grin plastered to his face with a quick shake of his head to sway the fringe over his eyes away. “Hi.” A short greeting with a hand lifted to brush a few strands of hair off to the side while staring over at the camera from a bit of lowered tilted angel. He holds a teasing sort of gaze as he shifts himself back with his fingers gripping the part of the stool between his legs rather playfully. “I’m Konnie, rapper and resident SUNshine boy. It’s been such a long time, right? ” Though he’d been active on social media prior to joining Legacy in the beginning of 2019, he hadn’t been able to address a lot of what had been going on. “I learned a lot over the years, so we should talk comfortably later.” He drums at the space he had been grabbing with an added chuckle. “This time I promise. Konnie’s gonna make his debut so just wait a little longer for me. You can do that, right?” There’s a wink before the video ends.

Bai Bingbing sincerely bow at the camera for self introduction deciding to showcase her skill in playing the Erhu which her mother encouraged her to learn from young age due to be traditional instrument. She fell in love with this instrument since she convey all her emotion by playing some simple strings, the other version where she loves dancing. The female delicately played this piece for 40 seconds to lure the audience in, showing kind expression closing her eyelids shut as lose herself in the music she played. 

The moment she finished a bright smile painted her ruby lips, she start to speak in her soft-spoked voice in basic korean since she is still learning the language. “Hello, I’m Bai Bingbing, you can call me Winter. I’m sorry if my korean isn’t good compare to others but I am working very hard on it to better at it. I’m originally from Hubei, China but for three years now I called Korea my home. I wish to show everyone my passion for music especially dancing since I want to make people feel happy or soothed by my vocals or routine or even empowered too. My inspiration is to be the idol who inspire others to work hard and achieve their dreams in particular in I wish to be the main dancer since that is where my fire in belly burns brightest when performing. Please look forward to seeing me and take care ok?” she kept in humble tone trying to be sincere as possible before ending the self-introduction video. It maybe boring compare to some others but at least she is honest to herself.
