minnie had declared she was hungry and pleading (more like demanded) that akio come with her to eat "something yummy". though truthfully, she was just wanting to go to the local mom-and-pop restaurant that was basically a hole in the wall. it was easily missed, as the sign was worn with age and faded. despite how dreary the outdoor looked, inside it was like a step in time.

the decor was still very 80's inspired, which made everything look funky but beautiful. it was homely, feeling like minnie's grandmother's home. the restaurant was family owned. the cook being the ahjumma and her son in law. the ahjussi stayed in the front to greet customers and the daughter was the manager. a few teens worked as waiters (both kids of the neighborhood and the younger generation of the family). minnie adored the restaurant like it was run by her own family. everyone was sweet and the food? it was made with love. delicious!

minnie had raved about the restaurant so much that she promised to take him one day. today was good as any! "it's around the corner," minnie tells akio when he arrives. she gave him a quick hug, as always, and began to lead him down the street. "you're going to love it. more than you love my cooking."

this restaurant inspired minnie to get better at the cooking. she actually had one of the recipes from the ahjumma herself! the ahjumma didn't always remember minnie's name, often calling her "pretty flower".

"i already know what i'm getting. i'm really craving jjajangmyeon!" she turned to him with a smile. "you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. it's all so good."

big suki — versus dorm, move-in day

according to his schedule, versus should be at practice right now. scratch that. current versus should be at practice right now. it felt like a dream, being able to call himself a part of the group, being able to even stand next to the group, lest breathe in the same air as them and live with them and have dinners with them and—

dom was going to pass out. and not in the funny cartoon-like gag reel sort of way. no, he was straight up hyperventilating. had been since he found out that he was going to room with the kurosawa akio ( !!! ). because really. of all members, akio? wouldn't it make more sense to put him with the leader so yeonwoo could keep an eye on him? or with minjun since they were the younger two and therefore had less privileges ( i.e., having a room to themselves )?

it was inevitable. he was just going to have to sleep on the couch. ... the couch that definitely needed replacement. dom put that first on his to-do list as he hauled his suitcase to his—their—THEIIIR—

"oh. you're here." ACT COOL, ACT COOL, ACT COOL. dom tsked and dragged his belongings to the empty bed without another glance in @lgcakio's direction. he then promptly turned on his heel and walked back out to the living room where several boxes were stacked. thank god, he moved his entire house out.

he had always tried his best to welcome the new members when they were added to v&a, doing his due diligence as the leader of the group. so when akio had been added a while ago, jiho had gone out of his way to welcome the younger.

which was, of course, how he had learned that their birthdates were quite literally only a week apart. which, of course, meant that it was prime time for them to spend that time together and celebrate their birthdays sometime within those ten days between the actual dates.

"did you have any requests for dinner?" jiho asks, having let himself into the versus dorm after alerting akio that he was on his way. one of their managers was tagging along with them, of course, but he loves both of their managers. even though it was technically for both of their birthdays, jiho wanted to treat akio (and their manager) to something delicious.

"i only have a specific request for dessert so i don't mind if you're craving something," he adds, hoping that akio wouldn't feel like he needed to thinking of something they would both enjoy. jiho isn't the most picky anyway, and he plops down on the couch as he waits for the versus member to finish grabbing whatever he needed.

it was humid—

that summer night, several years ago.

cotton shirts clung to sweat and skin, slippers squelched in pockets of puddles. it had rained that past week—a rarity for mid-june seoul. cicadas came in swarms, their songs falling like a curtain over the pleas that slipped from an alleyway.

tonight, the air feels just as thick.

as rowon turns the corner to an empty street, he runs right into akio. it might be a coincidence. it might not. just like every other time he happens to be in the area.

“my bad.” his apology is pleasant, warm, and it lingers as if it were a greeting. “are you headed back to the dorms? i’ll join you.” he raises the plastic bag in his hand. a reason. or perhaps an excuse. “special delivery.”

the bag lowers. rowon offers a small, friendly smile—it’s the same smile he gives when feeding a wounded stray.

“there’s something i would like to talk to you about.”

FAB FOUR ✱ a group thread with @lgcakio , @lgcbaekhyun & @lgcyushin

Anyone could see that Seojin was brimming with enthusiasm from the moment his team was settled. Although random, he was convinced there was some sort of higher power that decided to bless him with so many of his favorite people. Seeing Baekhyun for more than a few hours after quite some time ever since he debuted in another group was certainly welcome, too. ( And he definitely never complained about spending more time with Akio and Yushin. )

To top it all off, they just so happened to all choose a song he liked quite a bit from his favored LGC girl group. He enters the practice room with a rare expression plastered on his face — something reminiscent of a smile. In one hand, he carries an eight pack of electrolyte drinks in various flavors; in the other is a pack with plenty of snacks that his teammates enjoy. He tried to get their favorites. It would be more than enough to get them through the practice for the day.

"Snack run done!" He exclaims, setting both items down before stretching his arms over his head. His eyes immediately fall to Akio, light smirk dancing on his lips. He is still partially amused from their little yaja time episode from the other day.

"Hyung, you should pick first, right?"
