being busy with schedules made it harder for alex to really see yuri, so the moment that he even has the slightest bit of time he’s making his ways through the halls of the company in search of his younger brother. it’s true that they aren’t blood-related, though alex still thought of the other as more or less the same, looking past the fact that he himself was the one adopted and the younger wasn’t. maybe that was part of why alex cared more for the other, though it could also be because of the fact that he literally watched yuri grow from a baby into the person that he was today.
after hearing a general area that someone had last seen yuri in, alex searches around as if it’s his only mission, which it technically is at the moment, until he finally spots the younger male and grins to himself. he could easily recognize the figure of yuri even from behind.
slowing his pace and carefully approaching the other from behind, alex stays as quiet as possible until he finally gets close enough to yuri to toss his arm around the younger’s shoulder and pull him close. “there’s my favorite little brother!” he says, smiling as he does so while looking at the other. “what are you up to over here? you know, despite being in the same company, it’s really hard to even find you at times. thankfully someone gave your position away, with a little bit of bribing of course.” he half-jokes, his smile not once leaving his face as he speaks.
