i saw you mention the mets in a tag - what do you think of the city connect uniforms? i'm not really a fan....
On the whole, I actually like them a lot. The "NYC" lettering across the chest representing the entirety of New York will probably not sit well with a certain fanbase, which is a bonus. 😂 And the overall look is reminiscent of the Negro Leagues to me, even though I don't think that's what they were necessarily going for.
Two things I don't like about it: the bridge on the caps and the stylized player name lettering on the back. Both too busy. Wish they'd found a way to incorporate the bridge somewhere on the jersey instead, and used regular block lettering for the names.
When they teased the purple interlocking "NY" logo last week, I was expecting the worst but honestly, I think they did a good job. I might get one myself, actually.
