1. I’m good with tech - I’m not afraid of trying new technologies/gadgets/software and I learn quickly how to work with them. (Google is a big help, though. ;))

2. When not under pressure, I can come with very resourceful solutions to all kind of things. Especially if they lead to saving time/money/energy.

3. I actually do feel sorry for flies (and the kind) and I let them out of the window rather than kill them. (Mosquitoes, nasty jumping variety of spiders that sometimes appear where I live get no such mercy. Neither would even nastier earth-worms, but I don’t touch those. Yikes!)

4. I think I have a good eye for aesthetics. (But you tell me.)

5. I’m not afraid of experimenting with what I do with my hair. (Why do I always mention my hair in these? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

1. I procrastinate like a pro as evidenced by when I’m answering this. 2. I have too many writing notes all around my desk. And what am I doing? Hint: not writing.3. At least half of my music taste remained back in the nineties.4. My handwriting is horrific.5. I am currently not watching any TV shows. 6. The book I’m currently reading is messing with my mood. It’s great, but tough.7. I don’t even know if the above are facts? Is this a fact? ;)8. The fact is, however, that I am definitely bad at this kind of stuff.9. I have 71 works on AO3. There, a cold hard fact. ;)10. Sometimes I like to watch this guy cooking under cats’ supervision ;) videos on YT (tho it’s really not my kind of food.)

I was tagged by @lglorien ages ago but I got stuck on things I’ve always wanted to do b/c all my dreams died (wow, am I being melodramatic! ;)) at some point (read: depression really fucked me up), so it took me a while to come up with something. Anyway, thank you (also for ‘forcing’ me remember to want things)! :D

I don’t know how to swim or ski (I never learned due to health (and money) problems) 4. When I was in high school, I was really into formula one. 5. In primary school I once won an art contest (to my utter astonishment) only to later learn that my teacher mixed up my and my friend’s work when sending it out and it was really my friend who should’ve won and gone on the reward day-trip/award ceremony. Fortunately, when I told my friend about it, she saw the humour of it and we both had a good laugh about our ‘crazy’ teacher together.

1: Are you named after someone? My father.

2: When was the last time you cried? New Year’s day, because duh. (Hey, I’m holding out okay, it’s been almost a month! Well, I had one near-escapade in between but that doesn’t count.)

3: Do you like your handwriting? You mean ‘hieroglyphics’? No. Sometimes I can’t even read after myself. (I just have so many thoughts, okay? I just want to catch them before they escape and I can’t and then they escape anyway, so… *sighs*)

4: What is your favourite lunch meat? None? *shrugs* I’m not big on meat. But chicken and turkey, I guess.

5: Do you have kids? No. Probably not ever, because of health issues (also financial and general disillusionment with this world and why-bring-a-kid-into-it thing.) (If I found the right person to do it with and had financial means, I might like to adopt, though.)

6: If you were another person, would you be friends with you? I think so.

7: Do you use sarcasm? Nope. Not at all. Me? (/that was sarcastic, fyi.)

8: Do you still have your tonsils? Yes.

9: Would you bungee jump? No. Trying to keep my heart working here, not overwhelming it to a halt, thanks. 

10: What is your favourite kind of cereal? None particularly? (Okay, the super unhealthy chocolate crisps, but I haven’t had them in ages/years or a decade or so.)

11: Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Mostly, I’m too lazy to.

12: Do you think you’re a strong person? Yes, by force of circumstances I am (or have been), but I more and more often wish I didn’t have to be. (I’m so tired of being strong and having to struggle, okay? I’d like at least a break when someone stepped in for a couple of month and sorted out all the shit for me so I could pick it up from a clean slate, if you know what I mean.)

13: What is your favourite ice cream? Ever, ever? :) Strawberry? Cherry Yogurt. Chocolate + Kiwi. (Well, obviously chocolate + anything, also.)

14: What is the first thing you notice about people? Height? Because I’m short, so it’s impossible not to notice it with the various degrees of having to crane my neck to look at people, lol.

15: What is the least favourite physical thing you like about yourself? My heart condition, spine condition, and poor eyesight. Ugh.

16: What colour pants and shoes are you wearing now? Black pants and black orthopaedic slippers.

17: What are you listening to right now? Nothing.

18: If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Blue.

19: Favourite smell? Winter morning after it snowed. Or any time after it rains. Freshly cut grass. Etc.

20: Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? What do I know? I think my mother’s doctor calling to reschedule her appointment.

21: Favorite sport to watch? None, really, not anymore. Ski-jumping, sometimes.

22: Hair color? IDK? Blonde of some sort.

23: Eye color? Green. Grey-ish green? *shrugs* (Today is not my day. I’m having problem with finding even Slovene expressions, let alone English ones.)

31: What book are you currently reading? Beyond Ecstasy by Kit Rocha. It’s the 12th book in the series (well some of them were novellas/short stories). I started reading these just before New Year and can’t stop, okay? I need to know what happens at the end? (I assume everyone I love gets to live happily ever after, but I have to know!) This series is ruining my TV watching, not to mention writing. Two more books (without the current one). (Well, the second is actually a beginning of a spin-off series, but those two characters have been already seen around and I already love them, so it’s not like I will be able to resist reading it.) But yeah, after that, I’m free. ;) (Why have I done this to myself? These folks are killing me in all the best ways. Damn.)

32: Who do you miss right now? Nobody, I think.

33: What is on your mouse pad? Nothing because I don’t have one? I threw the old one away a few months ago because it got lumpy and shrivelled for no reason and I haven’t got a new one yet.

34: What is the last TV program you watched? Legends of Tomorrow 2x09. I kinda don’t like it that much this season, mostly I’m just watching for Mick. Poor bb.

35: What is the best sound? Birds chirping in the morning. Crickets on a summer evening. Cat purring. Etc.

36: Rolling stones or The Beatles? Neither, really.

37: What is the furthest you have ever travelled? London, England.

38: Do you have a special talent? I don’t know about the special part, but I’m good with words (writing) and I can sing. (I’ll just keep @lglorien’s answer.)

Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Deborah Harkness, obviously. And I finally got to read Linda Poitevin, although she is hardly new to me, but why did I wait so long to actually read anything of hers?

Romance, and I do not feel the slightest bit guilty about it. ;)

9. Did you get into any new genres?

No, not really, since I’ve read almost every genre in the past. 

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were?

Not really? I mean, I pick up books I expect to be good, so if it surprises me it’s because it doesn’t live anywhere near up to expectations - which is unpleasant surprise, but this has been a fortunate reading year and I haven’t had many of those.

Ooops, sorry for replying so late, I was lazy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (read: had other things to do.)  Also, you’ve set me quite a challenge with these questions and I had to think hard. :P But thank you! :)

1. What’s the most depressing movie you’ve ever watched?

Uh, you see, these ‘ever’ and ‘most’ questions… a) how am I supposed to pick one and/or b) I have a shit memory. 

But specifically with this question, life is depressing enough so I like to forget other depressing things. And also, there’s a difference between a sad ending and/or topic and a depressing film in general. 

But as a recent example, A Star is Born? It first pissed me off with the whole ‘a woman can’t be successful on her own terms and without owing her success to men’ BS plot and then with the ultra-depressing ‘some people are just beyond help’ ending. Overall, a way overrated and over-hyped movie, IMHO. 

5. What’s the very first film you remember watching?

Oh, that was a loooong time ago, I have no idea? 

There are several options, though. I remember we watched Goldy movies in 4th grade, but I’ve probably watched some other movie before, probably one of Slovenian good old ones (you know which I mean). I also remember watching one of the movies about Sissi with Romy Schneider (probably the first one b/c I remember her getting itn on with Franz Josef, lol) at your cousin’s when I was little (but probably not all of it). So, one of these. 

7. A film you wish had a sequel?

The Man from UNCLE (I think they said there will be one, but now all is quiet again? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) But I think there’s some other one I really really want and I’ve been wracking my head over it and we might have even talked about ti before but I can’t remember now. 

9. The most aesthetically pleasing movie you’ve ever watched?

Well, LOTR movies are very aesthetically pleasing (I just have problems with the content, as you know. ;)) (And yet, I have a feeling there’s something else somewhere, too, and can’t remember, again.)

17. Which cinematic universe would you like to live in?

None? I’m not made for various dangers/hardships/trials lurking in these universes (though, really, I’m not made for the hardships and trials of this real world, either.) But if I wasn’t me, then Middle Earth if it counts as a cinematic universe. I guess it does.

OMG YES. This is something I'm actually really, really looking forward to reading! As you know, I LOVED the show, and if you say the books vs the show are comparable to LOTR books vs LOTR movies, then I'm all in! :D

6: Which book was the last one you really, really loved?  Archangel’s Prophecy, the eleventh/newest instalment in Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series and, OMG, you need to get on that already because I need to discuss things with you! (BTW, I was kinda counting on you asking me this (if you asked me anything), thus playing into my ‘nefarious’ agenda, LOL! ;))

15: What book changed your life? IDK, LOTR? *shrug* (You knew I’d say that, right?) On second thought, there wasn’t really any single book that ‘changed’ my life, I don’t remember ever reading anything and having some sort of life-changing epiphany; there were, however, a lot of books that influenced me, LOTR being one of the major ones, obviously. 

25: If you could be a character from a book for just one day who would you be and why? (Bonus: any specific day in the story?) Hmm…. [insert long thinking and searching where have I answered this before but not finding it, so…] I guess, either Frodo or Bilbo on one of their peaceful days in the Shire, so I could go for a nice walk, have some good food, enjoy the sights and enjoy myself. 

35: Name a book you consider to be terribly underrated: To turn it around (see below), I could praise a lot of contemporary books, but let me give you a classic: In Desert and Wilderness by Henryk Sienkiewicz.

36: Name a book you consider to be terribly overrated: Well, I could diss a lot of classics, but let me give you one more contemporary example: The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan.
