Hello Nurse
I don't have that read more thing when I'm on the iPad so I'll do my best. Ugh. You're up to bat.
Freddie walked and smelled the smoke as he closed the door and locked it. "If you're feeling so horribly, darling. You should probably put out that cigarette." He motioned to the stick lazily hanging from her fingers. Jess chuckled, instantly regretting it when a coughing fit started. In the midst of the fit, Freddie took the light away and smothered it in tray. Sitting down besides her, he rubbed her back and placed a hand on her knee, squeezing lightly.
"Thanks, that was definitely not my best move." She turned to him. "I'd give you a kiss but..." Her voice trailed off and she yawned, leaning into Freddie. "I'm a disease bomb. You don't want to be sick like me." Still, she nuzzled in closer and closed her eyes. "Thank you for coming over again."
The coughing coming from Jess's mouth was strange to hear. It's something that rarely happens, let alone the sniffles or the pressure in her head. Freddie suggested that she drank some tea and medicine and go to bed. Hoping that the combination would kick the bug before it got worse, but when she woke up the next morning she felt so much worse.
"Days like this just never happen to me dear." She coughed on the phone. "I should see a doctor but everyone's on holiday. What should I do Freddie? I'll see you in a few." Jess rolled around on the bed trying to find the perfect spot of comfort and temperature. At one point she even considered laying upside down. In the end Jess sat on the leather couch, turned on the radio to a classical station, and lit a cigarette. Inhaling deeply, she thought of how the events led up to this, exhaling she let the smoke drift around the room. There was a knock at the door. "Freddie?" She coughed. "come in."
