posting regularly on this blog is super difficult.
in other news, I made a twitter! a friend recommended it to me because I was complaining about how my googlereader would have thousands of unreads after just a day. turns out, I like twitter! oh my god, the news i’m getting at such a constant rate. it’s wonderful. i’m following the deficit debate and i’m all tweaked out on politics. magnifico! my rule is, however, to only tweet about politics/important things/things not my personal life. NO ONE needs a live feed of my life that constantly updates. I don’t even need that. My personal tumblr blog is enough vanity for me, though even there I really post a lot more about politics/political views/progressive shit than I do about myself. I fail at life. work has been fun. I worked at home on Monday, which meant that I didn’t see Brian Thursday - Monday! so sad. on tuesday, though, for the majority of the time it was just me and him in the office. it was nice and quiet, which can be quite pleasant from time to time.
today, the APIEQLA/KIWA interns (or really just Iris and Martin) came to the Faith Committee meeting (which, btw, is actually a lot of fun!). I hadn’t seen them in close to two weeks, so it was nice to sit and laugh with them again! they’ve been working out of KIWA because they’re surveying Korean youth on their feelings towards LGBT rights; they’re going to be at KIWA for the next three weeks, it seems, which means I won’t get to work with them really at all! that really blows. i love them! (jaejin and john too!)
our tumblr is coming along really well. to be quite honest, sunday night I was pretty afraid we wouldn’t have any submissions aside from the one person who answered a question I posted. HOWEVER, we’ve been getting a few and everyone else is also starting to post on the tumblr! WHOOOHOOO. we have over 100 followers and people seem genuinely interested in the blog (including a few of my friends, some unexpected). I’m glad that our tumblr isn’t bust, which was a small fear of ours. I really really realllyyy want to open up a space for APIs to explore their identity in all shapes and forms. I think just having that space available will cause APIs and all individuals who view the blog to consider their own identity and what it’s made up of.
okay, enough for tonight.
