Whatever I expected of the post 'dad getting away scene' was NOT -> Will can just invite him to the play and he'll actually show up. Like we really let this man get away just for his escape plans to be foiled by a free ticket to a show idk ahahah. (how did we get his address even)

Is his father just the dumbest man alive?

I was sorta excited for the patricide option.

Some speculation:

✧ They said 'his body had fallen into the deep river below' so, imo, they don't know for 100% if he's dead. Dumbest man alive seems to be blessed with the dumbest luck alive, so I'm not entirely sure we've seen the last of him?

✧ Liam saying his bio-dad abandoned the mother means bio-dad is very much still around, will he make an appearance at some point? Allegedly since he abandoned them he seems like a bad person so why would Liam even try to find him, but we already know his mother sucked so maybe he had his reasons XD

✧ Not speculation but observation: In his last act of pettiness his father took the choice of what to do away from Liam by jumping. What an awful brat.

I know, but this is also where the healing starts 🎀

This was a super lovely moment and I'm glad they showed us that he started accepting this part of himself that was forged in survival.

Idk if I like how things ended in this route, at least for me his dad seemed like a weak and dumb villain.

I kept waiting for Liam to have a moment of catharsis, I think he really deserved one.

It's gonna be a long while till I pick this route again to see the Blind end but until then I think Liam is a very well written love interest, all of his actions were understandable and somehow, he still kept his giant heart intact after everything he went through. ♥︎

P.S. I'm picking William as my next vic- I mean, suitor ^.^

Yk I never really made blogposts talking ab gameplay before so I'm not sure I'm approaching this cohesively but I'll try my best ♡

Team Al and Liam sound like a handful~ rip MC, have fun with that.

Well, we don't know but we have to always try, even if it seems hopeless. Also, not the best moment to wax poetic about their fates (I'm pretty sure those kids can *hear* us). Save first, deal with the consequences later!

Then Generic Evil Guy™ comes in and does his speech.

I still don't know what I think about these fits, they alluded that it might not be a Cat's Curse thing but a Liam thing. Is he dissociating when it gets too much? Would the key to controlling these fits lie with his lack of self respect? Like, if he grasps his emotions better he would somehow manage to navigate the fits as well? Much to think about ^^

Losing control of yourself this way must be a terrible thing, poor Liam. + there was nothing in this world that would snap him out of that, not as he is right now.

Eeeeh, depends on the fairytale? You could still qualify.

Jokes aside, I knew the comedown scene would be heavy.

Guess we're entering the husband chasing arc of the route. It's okay Liam I gotchuuu ૮ - ﻌ • ა⁩ (trying to Positive Think™ my way out of a bleak situation)

Iirc they alluded that Liam had a rough upbringing because he was the only heir, right? So his father was 'strict' and Liam lost the light in his eyes because of it.

So rly I'm just trying to understand what his dad achieves with this request. Is he literally just jealous? But then why groom Liam to be the perfect heir.

And why was Liam 'born a sin', is he an illegitimate heir?

Was the childhood fire set as retaliation for the abuse? And that's the first time he properly disassociated?

I think I might be writing fanfiction with these questions Q.Q

Oh Liam, you're breaking my heart💔

It's so easy to get caught up in that mentality, and at the end of the day, you end up with no people pleased and a piece of yourself destroyed for nothing.

Can't wait to see how he ended up this way and how MC can navigate such a complicated relationship.

I rly liked how she talked about the guilt she felt around asking him for things because she didnt know he'd take her comments to such extremes, like her legs gave out when she realized the kind of control she could have over him without even noticing.

A bit from the very last chapters + start of Mad Love ending ≽^•༚• ྀི≼

So Liam finally talks to her a little more about his past abuse and how the curse manifested for the first time.

He also shows her his scars and I'm always gonna be a sucker for the 'gently touching the scars' scene, I just eat it up all the time!

I think this kinda confirms my original suspicions.

I think the curse activated out of self-preservation, and I think its very interesting that he hears his own voice whisper during 'the fits', maybe it's the repressed part of him finally rebelling, unfortunately, Liam himself ends up as collateral during some (most?) of these.

But if that's true that means there is a light at the end of the tunnel where maybe he can subdue his other self during the fits?

Maybe take that question and point it at yourself. >.>

I do like that they show that she also has these scars now, that this is something that will haunt her. That maybe this is something that will always exist at the back of her mind, looming over innocent interactions.

Or maybe not, but I am a sucker for good angst XD

Ah, this is a lot to deal with. He didn't grab her hand but he also didn't let go, he's in a constant state of indecision.

I think this will wear very heavy on MC in her relationship with Liam.

I also think his great indecision comes from the fact that he had a lifetime of wishing to die and that being the default, and he finally found a reason to live (his love for mc) and he really doesn't know how to compute that information. If the default is 'i wanna kms' why do I wanna see tomorrow with her? type of thing.

I really want to know what he's thinking right now.
