Love is love, I’ll grant you that-- Waving goodbye while tipping my hat. It will never be over, and when all’s said and done-- What does anybody see in anyone?

Within the depths of St. Paul’s Chapel on the campus of Columbia University you’ll find the Postcrypt Coffeehouse. Actually, it’s more akin to a tomb or cellar of stone, but what better place to take advantage of the natural acoustics? The Postcrypt has been hosting musicians here since 1964, and I can attest that performing on its stage is like sipping from the Holy Grail. Sadly, I hadn’t heard a show there in many years.
Are you familiar with the cover of “Baby, Let Me Follow You Down” that Bob Dylan included on this first album? As he strums the intro, Dylan talks out this little passage before starting to sing:
I first heard this from uh...Rick von Schmidt. He lives in Cambridge. Rick’s a blues guitar player. I met one day in the...green pastures of uh...Harvard University.
Well, for some reason, it came into my head as I approached St. Paul’s. There was this cool breeze adrift and I thought I might be feeling young again.)
