Liberal learning depends on absorption in compelling work. It is a way to open ourselves to the various forms of life in which we might actively participate. When we learn to read or look or listen intensively, we are, at least temporarily, overcoming our own blindness by trying to understand an experience from another’s point of view. We are not just developing techniques of problem solving; we are learning to activate potential, and often to instigate new possibilities.

I got my pick of "Society, Ethics, and Technology" for a liberal learning course. I hope I can stand that for four years. The only thing I haven't gotten yet was my Spanish class for some reason. It says it might be closed? I'm sure they won't let that one slide though even though I wished I didn't have to take a language. It could be worse I suppose...
classes and fsp
I've been given most of my classes already and they have decided which FSP to give me. The official title of the class is, "Constructing/deconstructing an icon: Che Guevara in art & visual culture". Che was a pretty interesting guy I think I can handle this.
The only thing I'm waiting on now is my liberal learning course then I can finalize my schedule and I become a freshman...again!
