Library Rendezvous - Remry
There was something thrilling about being in a library late in the evening. Mary herself wasn't particularly an avid reader, but even she could appreciate the vast and varied collection of knowledge and entertainment. When there was a lack of students goofing off in a corner and everything was still and quiet, there was an atmosphere of unexplained magic. Like the pages of the books were about to burst into life with the stories of their texts.
Or perhaps it was just the prospect of spending a whole evening with a certain tall, book-loving boy that was making her feel that way. He had that effect on her, like the world had suddenly been colorized in bright hues because he painted it that way for her. It was something that sounded like it belonged in the pages of the romance novels she often borrowed from Lily, but it was honest. There was so many times where he had gone out of his way just to brighten her day, but he didn't realize that it was unmeasurable how much he did for her by simply just being there for her.
The library was empty, which was no surprise considering how close it was to curfew. Mary herself was attempting to do her best to be inconspicuous by slowly and quietly browsing the aisles. She had been worried about Madame Pince kicking her out, but luckily there was no appearance yet from the woman.
Unconsciously she held her breath as footsteps reached her ears. She only realizing she had done so when it escaped out in relief. Through the uneven holes created by the rows of books on the shelf she easily recognized the tall figure and his shock of brown hair. It was Remus. He was just on the other side of the book cases, but he hadn't noticed her yet. A grin had already found its way onto face when she saw him arrive, but it widened as a silly idea came to mind. She reached through the shelves and carefully pushed at book on his side, letting it fall from the shelf as Remus passed it. A few steps over she did the same thing, trying to suppress a laugh as she imagined the confused look that was surely on his face. She slid half a dozen books out of their spots from variable parts of the shelves before she bent to peer through the shelves again and see if he had figured it out yet.
