Wednesday began with a short lecture by our speciality librarian, which I really enjoyed and learned how to interact with and analyse books. Here are some of the zines, postcards, and magazines that I loved the most and spent a lot of time studying them. This lecture opened my mind in so many ways because of the number of shapes, colours, materials and mediums that were used to create the designs. It really showed me that your ideas can be limitless when it comes to the final context. I also realised that size plays a huge role. There was a tiny book about different types of biscuits, and it wouldn't evoke the same feeling if you were looking at it if it were A5. So I hope that in my future projects I will experiment more and try to create unique designs and think about what emotions I want to evoke in the viewer.
