deadly is the tongue of the dragon, flames dwindling upon taste buds, as if they are like to spill forth and swallow the bastard who stands before her. if they are to rule together, they must stand together. that was the premise of an alliance. and yet, daenerys stormborn can scarcely stand her husband to be. narrowed eyes are as dark as shadows, lilacs glimmering against candleflame, so dark that they might be mistaken for amethysts. palms rest at here forefront, a regal stance befitting of a queen. one might mistake her stance for stoic, when truthfully, the reason she harbours such animosity is because she feels with every fibre of her being.
cold is her stare, a contrast to the fire that burns inside of her, though ramsay bolton cannot steady those flames. his malicious smile alone only stirs them. if she is to take all seven kingdoms, it must be with him by her side, begrudging as she may be. ❝ we must find common ground, my lord, if we are to be wed. as i am to be your queen, as well as your wife, i command that you tell me something about yourself. ❞

a letter to meereen, curved in the cursive scroll of her words, written to her captain across the sea. something inside of her rages, akin to the way that an armourer might wield a sword, liquid gold set in stone as a weapon is formed. the echo of lonely nights are set alight within her might, recounting each instance this sellsword stole his way into her bed chamber, finding the empty space by her side. and now he is a commander, trusted with keeping slavers bay at balance. his tale is telling of how trade is thriving, yet another thing that daenerys stormborn had ensured was in place before parting.
though, there is still much to be done, even on this side of the sea. people had to earn their coin, to make a living for themselves and to protect their family ––– the intention to one day, unite slavers bay and the seven kingdoms. whilst her letter is laced with formality, detailed with duty, she can scarcely ignore the carvings of lust that are etched in his own hand. things had changed, drastically but for the better, even if she did loathe her lord husband in the very beginning. it is with a heavy heart that she decrees her marriage, not out of regret but guilt instead. he loved her, this much daenerys targaryen knew.
as door hinges cry a sombre song, ice lingers over her shoulder as if the threat of winter has returned. and for now, she will keep lilacs upon the page, knowing that should she devote her attention to him, she will not stop. control will be lost, digits crawling through midnight tresses, a desperate attempt of pulling him closer. like a thief, he steals his way in, canines grazing against skin until its bite rests atop her shoulder.
heavy is her breath, though she will not give in, not until her duty has been done. gaze falters to the corner of her eyes for a brief moment, tongue heeding a warning, though her tone remains teasing all the same. ❝ you should stop or i shall have you thrown in a cell, for obstructing the duties of your queen. ❞
