MYTHOLOGY MEME || Heroes (2/6) ↬ Libuše
In Czech mythology, Libuše is the legendary ancestor of the Přemyslid dynasty and the Czech people. She was the youngest of the three daughters of Krok, a mythical leader of the Czech people, but was elected to succeed her father because she was the wisest of her sisters and had the gift of prophecy.
Some of her people were displeased at the thought of being ruled by a woman and demanded that she marry. However, Libuše had fallen in love with a ploughman named Přemysl and used her gift of prophecy to convince her people that she was destined to marry him Přemysl and Libuše had three sons and were credited as the founders of Prague.
