Our first "non official" art licensing deal was with Lost Enterprises, for Drew's art on tees. (Photo shows years of tee shirt samples!). It was non official because back then we didn't know anything about licensing, contracts or royalties. 🙃 Our deal was simple: Drew created art and the invoice was the "contract" - it stated that for a one-time fee they got to use the art for 2 years. 💥 QUESTION: What would you LOVE to see your art printed on? Share in the comments! 🔥🔥🔥 What I like about licensing art for tee shirts is this: you get paid AND they market your art to their customers. 😉 And then, their customers promote your art by wearing it! It's a double dip deal. 🍦 🍦 🍦 For over 25 years Drew and I have been making deals where cool companies get to print his art on their tees and other products. It's an awesome arrangement because we aren't great at manufacturing but we are great at coming up with winning ideas for art that makes things look cool. 😎😎😎 For years I've taught artists how to license art through my consulting.
