Lichenclaw (he/him) - East Summitclan Elder
Cool! @Violetthroat & Lichenclaw, how do you feel about each other?
Lichenclaw: Violetthroat’s too airheaded. She’s coddled and irresponsible – and now she’s gone and made me look bad, prancing around with some random ForestClan tom! How dumb can she be, sniffing around the border of our biggest enemy?!Violetthroat: I don’t know why Lichenclaw seems to hate me so much; I try so hard to stay on her good side and I really wish we had a better relationship. She’s just so uptight and somehow finds a problem with everything I do! It’s almost like she’s trying to find things about me to criticize.
more traditional art.... Lichenclaw this time!
unfollow me if you think the earth is flat: briarstar, otterface, lichenclaw, thistlepaw, beetlepaw, nightstar, lizardpaw
seriously pretends to be a flat earther to antagonize anti flat earthers: willowstar, batpaw, smokefur, acornpaw
neutral but makes polls to start fights "is the earth flat? let's discuss": bluecloud, gingerpaw, patchpaw, beestar, wigeonpaw
NOT a flat earther but makes "the earth may be flat but this ass isn't" jokes for viral tweets: mousefang, redwing, rabbitpaw, dovepaw
actual flat earther: copperpaw, tealpaw
Dandelion (left) only belongs to me.
Lichenclaw, minus the background.
Lichenclaw trained to be a warrior, and quickly became one of the best fighters in her clan. She was feared, and had never found herself on the losing side of a battle.
During a particularly aggressive fight, she took the life of a Ridgeclan warrior. Emotionally scarred, she found herself unable to continue to fight.
She began to suffer severe ptsd due to that event, and begged to be trained as a medicine cat, never wanting to have to fight again.
It was a uphill struggle, due to how respected she was as a warrior, but she was eventually accepted to train as a healer. She’s served as Coniferclan’s medicine cat ever since, and despite her rough appearance, has been a pioneer in treating mental injuries as well as physical.
what do u mean when u say that lichenclaw treats lavenderpaw like a normal kid?
lavenderpaw, mudpaw, thistlepaw, and thrushpaw are a very big litter for the clans – especially for mountainclan, who’s average number of kits per litter is one or two; one this massive is extremely rare for them. naturally, it came as a big shock, and it was decided that the entire family (but mostly the kits) had been blessed by starclan.
as such, lavenderpaw and her littermates were kept under constant surveillance when they were kits to ensure that they would all survive to apprenticehood, to the point where it could be suffocating at times. they all grew restless as a result, and their irriation/stress manifested in different ways for each of them.
but anyways, their fellow apprentices and some of the warriors have always treated them differently due to their status as miracles. such warriors will keep an extra eye on them no matter what they do and who they’re with, and some of the younger apprentices kind of... worship them, or talk up to them, and yeah. it can be annoying and it places a lot of pressure on all of them to a) surive and b) exceed.
luckily, lichenclaw and redwing treat their apprentices normally (haven’t decided on thrushpaw and mudpaw’s mentors/how they treat them). lichenclaw’s actually a bit harder on lavenderpaw (with training and in their everyday interactions) instead of acting like she’s some blessed miracle, but lavenderpaw prefers it that way. it’s partially because lichenclaw can empathize with lavenderpaw, due to the extreme pressure that’s always burdened her. she doesn’t want lavenderpaw to feel different from any of her clanmates.
there’s also the fact that lavenderpaw and mudpaw are more mature than thistlepaw and thrushpaw, so a lot of the warriors treat them more like adults than they do with their brothers, which can be stressful on its own (more so for lavenderpaw, who’s far more sensitive). they also expect her to behave better, so she feels like she’s under more scrutiny than them.
