Today I gave a presentation about DART and one of the audience questions was “so what is liciacube doing now?” and I had to break it to them that it’s kind of just floating out there somewhere and probably dead. And the whole audience was like THAT’S SO SAD OH MY GOD. They were so upset. I’m sorry everyone I know it’s fucked up and horrible but its mission is done. They were like “imagine taking a picture of your mom dying in front of you and then being abandoned by the whole world.” OKAY JESUS you people are morbid. And very emotionally attached to this spacecraft I introduced 15 seconds ago. 💔
