“Oh crap.”
When Jaune had FINALLY made his way back to the male dormitories, sweat still on brow from dance practice, and legs feeling as if they’d crumble out from beneath him, the only thing he wanted to do was relax. To kick his feet up, pull out a comic book, and zone into his own little World for the rest of the afternoon; oh, it sure sounded like heaven, and each agonizing step back to his dorm was looked forward to knowing that joy was to come.
Well--...it was SUPPOSED to, anyway. When pushing the door to his dorm open, his roommate wasn’t in sight, which was not out of the ordinary given the time, but what was odd, was the fact that something else was missing. Something that really should not be. The cage that sat stationary at the side of Jaune’s bed was left ajar, the mesh covering that kept it enclosed was only covering half of the tank, and instantly, did the Arc know he had made a mistake.
“Crap. Crap crap crap--!”
He’s positively FRANTIC, dropping to his knees to look beneath each bed and dresser, tossing off blankets and pillows, and shaking out book-bags in hopes that a little someone would show himself. Nothing. No sign of any creature was left, and with a swift turn, Jaune’s eyes are fixated upon the door and the room beneath that one could possibly slip out and escape from. Without much thought, Jaune rushes back out into the hall to begin looking, but with his eyes low, he finds his body crashing into another in his haste; but before an apology arises, his voice slips out in fright, and arms grasp onto the other boy’s shoulders.
“Hey--hi--sorry--have you seen a--um. A little thing around here? It has kind of--uh, claws! And a tail with a barb! It’s--it’s a Scorpion. Have you seen a Scorpion around here?!”
