Rule #1: always post the rules.
Rule #2: answer the questions the person who tagged you asked, then write 10 new ones.
Rule #3: tag 11 people then link them in the post.
Rule #4: tell them you tagged them.
Rule #5: tell the person that tagged you that you’ve answered the questions.
I am willfully skipping Rules 3-5 because there's just no way I'm coming up with 10 questions today.
That said, I actually really like these particular questions and invite anyone who feels like it to answer them!
1. Favorite class (or hobby you’ve begun if you haven’t been in school) you’ve taken in the last five years?
I haven't really started much new, but if money and time permitted I'd start taking language classes. Most likely Spanish to start since a) I'm already somewhat fluent and b) it's a very good language to know in Texas.
2. Do you have an OC/new story you’ve been thinking about a lot lately? Tell me about them.
Not so much an OC, as I tend more toward fanfic and to fusion AUs specifically, but I'm pretty damn excited about the Nikita fusion AU I'm going to be doing for NaNoWriMo in November.
It's basically an updated version of the movie Copycat - the one from 1995 with Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter. Think Amanda as Helen Hudson and Nikita as MJ Monahan.
3. What’s something you’re working on right now? Either professionally or in your personal life?
Things are kinda crazy right now, honestly.
I just started a new job 3 weeks ago, supporting hotel wireless access for AT&T. I suppose you could say I'm working on that right now - I'm no stranger to tech support, but this is oddly unlike any other tech support I've done previously.
It's surprisingly simple, honestly, just a bit unfamiliar at this point. I'll eventually be trained to also support public wifi at some other hotel chains and in certain businesses.
4. Who’s one of your favorite authors/developers/creators and why?
Oh, man. I have such ridiculous hero worship of all my fave authors, but I've got it the worst for Kelley Armstrong and Melissa Marr.
I've gotten to meet them both in person - as well as following them on social media - and I would give anything just to be able to sit and chat with them for a few hours.
It's hard to put into specifics - not only are they talented authors, they're also just really awesome people with amazing brains.
5. What’s your favorite time of the year?
I live in central Texas, so there's honestly not the marked difference in seasons you get further north. It's really just a question of how hot it is or isn't, and what specific things are growing that can cause allergies. :P
Seriously, though, I prefer fall - it's cool but not actually cold and the leaves are changing.
6. Where would you like to retire one day?
I'd really rather spend my retirement traveling. Everywhere. :D
7. What would you describe your aesthetic as? like, your fashion sense?
I'm short and currently nowhere near my "ideal" weight. The fashion industry doesn't believe I exist much less allow for me to have an aesthetic.
I'm not bitter at all - why do you ask?
8. Three things you love about yourself?
I love my patience and diplomacy.
9. What’s an awesome movie you’ve seen in the last year?
Maleficent blew every other movie I saw this year out of the water without even trying. Everyone needs to see it!
10. If you could dress like one fictional character for the rest of your life (or otherwise until it gets old for you) and not be judged by anyone around you who would you dress as?
I guess this can also go back to Question 7 about my aesthetic. I love Jemma Simmons' wardrobe on Agents Of Shield and would happily copy it forever if I could. (Note my previous statement about the fashion industry not really allowing me an aesthetic...)
