oh my god seriously. BUT I WANT TO READ IT TOO.
... So I guess I have another serial fic to write after Deeds of Gift finishes, huh?
lieutenant-mairon replied to your post: Seriously, as we speak.
do you always write it by hand first? Beautiful handwriting btw ❤️
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone call my handwriting beautiful. Usually what’s said is, “I can’t read this.” It’s really awful chicken-scratch up close. But my DARK BAT pen does wonders to make me look good. I don’t always write by hand first. I kind of bounce between word processing software and writing by hand. I don’t know if it actually helps me, but it gives me a chance to refine my work as I go. I lose a bit of time, but I think the quality is generally better than if I just stick to one medium. Writing by hand, I find, loosens up the words, so sometimes I’ll switch and do it unplugged for a bit when I’m stuck. My first plot notes are usually written by hand, and sometimes accompanied by really dreadful sketches. I think I wrote the first paragraphs of every chapter by hand, first. And a lot of my shorter works start in a notebook. I like to write just before bed, but don’t like to bring my laptop with me, so notebook and pen it is. Also, I enjoy that close engagement with the shape of the words. Underlining doesn’t feel quite as good on a keyboard. So, uh. Yeah. lieutenant-mairon replied to your post “Deeds of Gift [Snippet]”
I just read this before going out of the house and listening to Lana's Dark Paradise does NOT help the heartache I'm feeling now.
Lana will get you every time. I listen to that one a lot, actually, while I’m working on this. But I’ll also direct you to Hurts’ Mercy. It has a similar feel. You know, in case you would like to feel some additional heartache. I’m here to help.
