I like to think that post Parting Ways, Daniel took the sand in the letter to his father’s grave at some point. Esteban might never have had the chance to go back to Puerto Lobos as he wanted, but part of him did with Sean. Sand of a beach he was happy on, lit a cigarette with his father’s lighter, and where he could just sit together with someone important to him, shut up and let the universe do its own thing. It would seem fitting.
The picture for Daniel. Puerto Lobos for their father.
I have both the start of a sketch and a one-shot of that but I can’t seem to take it anywhere. So here it is.
“You heard my voice, I came out of the woods by choice.
Shelter also gave their shade, but in the dark I have no name; so leave that click in my head and I will remember the words that you said. Left a clouded mind and a heavy heart, but I am sure we could see a new start.
So when your hope’s on fire but you know your desire, don't hold a glass over the flame. Don't let your heart grow cold. I wrestled long with my youth, we tried so hard to live in the truth. But do not tell me all is fine, when I lose my head, I lose my spine. So leave that click in my head, and I won't remember the words that you said. You brought me out from the cold. Now, how I long, how I long to grow old.
Hold me fast, cause I'm a hopeless wanderer. And I will learn, I will learn to love the skies I'm under The skies I'm under.”
So I was totally going to finish a cute, long overdue Arcana drawing but my Youtube mix decided to play against me and played Hopeless Wanderer and this doodle is how I spent the next 30 minutes of my life. Post Parting Ways again because damn did it hit in The Feels.
It’s terrible but five minutes doodles have proven useful to me when I want to get used to drawing some characters. And boy do I have to get used to drawing the Diaz brothers because I have feelings to draw.
There’s no good ending
Or there are almost only”good endings”. It all depends on what you value most, and what you made Sean and Daniel value most through your choices. Spoilers ahead !

WIP Intro: Life Isn't Faire, Season 2
OMG they're introducing ANOTHER WIP? what a day. (This is season 2 of a sitcom I wrote last summer, but I thought I'd introduce this now that I have a writeblr)
genre: situational comedy
setting: a renaissance faire in Kenosha, Wisconsin
pov: this work is not prose, so it's all in teleplay format. So like third person present kinda?
premise: Gareth Goldstein has it all. If by "having it all" you mean adoring fans and a good relationship with his union at the Renaissance Faire he works at over the summer. He's been promoted to full-on knight, and he has a squire who's earnest, if nothing else. But when the other knight quits after a jousting accident, a new knight (a transplant from New Mexico) steps in, Gareth's life becomes an inferno of Dante-level proportions, a time loop of suffering. Luckily, Gareth has his horse, his parents, and noted indie artist Mitski to help him through. And maybe this won't be as bad as it seems.
Logline: A young man navigates day to day life at his workplace, featuring a wacky cast of characters.
