Never Seen KOLKATA..
Being here for more than (may be) 20 years, I have never witnessed Kolkata, like the one I did some few days back. It was actually a fine windy evening, I had a date with my family at SOUTH CITY. So, after my British council classes, I hopped into a cab and drove towards the highly lit up CITY at the south.
It was a busy place, active with people from 0-50, some beautifully dressed up and some casually. Some came there to take a break from their office schedule and some just to enjoy the cool breeze inside. To me, it was a mix of both added with A FAMILY OUTING.
As I entered the magnificent mall, I could only feel one thing THE ALLURING SMELL OF COOKIES! How on earth can something smell so enigmatic and I don’t know what adjectives to use further. But, as I am on a strict WINDOW SHOPPING DIET , I had to wake up myself and walk straight admiring all the branded stores out there. At one point of time a thought came to my mind, WILL I SPEND ALL MY SALARY ON BUYING FOODS or WILL I BUY SOME CLOTHES TOO?? That’s the question I feel confused like anything..lets see, let it unfold eventually. Don’t worry I’ll let you know, #tumblr is always there at your service.
Hoping from one shop to another, I noticed a small little baby boy, standing at one corner of Pantaloons and weeping. At first I thought “May be his mother or father had scolded him”, but then the next sight was quite stunning. I saw a tall man, came with a small handy cam and told the boy “GOOD SHOT” and the boy gave a nice sweet smile. Yes, you got me, it was a shooting. I mean, looks can be really deceptive at times. What if I would have really went there and stopped the child from crying?? I don’t want to answer that as I was feeling like twenty rats were jumping inside my tummy. I was dead hungry. So we decided to reach the top i.e. the HEAVENLY FOOD COURT , where you get everything from SUBWAY to SOUTH INDIAN to CHINESE to PUNJABI etc etc..
After a good meal, we all decided to seal the moment with a selfie and whispered IT WAS A NICE DAY!
