Sometimes it feels like I'm sailing through life. Not because there is a gentle breeze carrying me along, but rather a forward momentum with relentless force. It pulls and pushes all at the same time, like a lung drawing and expelling air in the same breath. When I am able to go with the flow I ride it like a wave and when I can no longer find my footing I am propelled as if from a slingshot. It's a sensation somewhere between exhilaration and trepidation.
