wetlands: how easily does your muse trust? is there anyone your muse could confide in?
Since Theramore, Jaina doesn’t confide in too many people. She tends to keep to herself. Part of the reason is because she’s generally become more guarded and closed off since her trauma. Another reason is because she doesn’t trust that she has people around her who understand what she’s feeling. She’s also prideful in that she (inaccurately) believes she can handle these problems on her own.
Vereesa is one she’ll open up to, but this can be unhealthy for her because Vereesa is in a lot of pain as well - holding on to anger. The two together can be counter productive to their own healing.
Sometimes she’ll open up to Kalec, but this doesn’t always go well. She’ll get pissy because she feels like he’s more judgmental (though he doesn’t mean to be) rather than helpful.
She opens up some to her mother Katherine and it’s helpful when she does. But Jaina still has a lot of self doubts and shame about what happened with her father. She tends to shut herself off from her mother.
In the AU rp I have with @ceruleanelf, Jaina occasionally opens up to Kael’thas because he’s experienced deep trauma and knows what it means to lose yourself to the pain of it. He doesn’t judge her, but listens to her, acknowledges her feelings as valid and then patiently helps her work through them - sorting the truths from the lies.
