July 4th is around the corner and most of your little ones will be terrified of the fireworks!😣 So what are your options and what are some of the things you can do to help them cope with all the BOOMS and BANGS!?🎆 There's a few things you can do to help and I'll tell you a few here. One method that your furry friend can benefit from is your presence! Many pets find their owners comfort in times of stressful situations so just by being there, your already doing something.😉 Another method is to be with them in smaller room, as dogs tend to seek shelter in a flight response. A method I find that works well with Ben is to play music🎵 around the house, and play with him with toys to sort of let him know that I'm fine and he's fine. Sometimes I'll even rile him up a bit so that he feels stronger💪 and a bit less fearful of the fireworks. Best try to avoid medicating if at all possible, I dislike the idea of having to sedate your little one when it isn't necessary with many alternatives out there.👌 You guys can let me know if any of these methods work for you and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!! Enjoy everyone and stay hydrated! ❤️🐶 #july4th #animallover #dogtips #lifeofbenandi (at Queens, New York)
