A return to some normalcy amid coronavirus outbreak could be June or July, Murphy says

The governor stressed people need to continue to adhere to strict orders to help fight the outbreak.

The state is rapidly progressing with this virus, but not in a good way. Our numbers continue to rise with the amount of positive cases and the amount of deaths due to the COVID-19 are continuing to grow. Governor Murphy doesn’t think that things will get back to normal until the summertime AT LEAST and that’s ONLY IF everyone follows the rule to stay home and social distance. Although the way people are treating it, it doesn't seem like we’ll get back to normal anytime soon. The weather gets just a tiny bit nice, and everyone decides to violate the stay at home rule and wander around, including filling parks that just re-opened.

Don’t expect ‘a normal gathering in the foreseeable future,' N.J. Gov. Murphy says of life after coronavirus peak

Gov. Phil Murphy provided a glimpse into what examples of re-opened businesses would look like, including restaurants offering dine-in options again with temperature checks or rapid coronavirus saliva tests at the door.

Governor Murphy doesn’t think the state will go back to normal after all of this dies down, he believes we will have a “new normal” This makes complete sense because once something changes, it’s changed forever. The American people will forever be affected by this, they will always be prepared for this sort of stuff now. People will always want to have masks, gloves, lysol, rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizer in their house. They will be left wondering if there is any way that this will start all over again. They will always be looking over their shoulder.

Life of a Pharmacist/Mother

Mariela Lemes Aleman is a 45 year old pharmacist. She's the registered pharmacist in charge of Horowitz Supremo Pharmacy in Elizabeth, NJ. Her father tested positive for COVID-19. Luckily enough her father wasn’t that bad with his symptoms and didn’t need to go to hospital for anything. His breathing was normal, at least for a 74 year old man who's been smoking for majority of his life. I asked her how it was living with her father, mother, husband and two children of her own. Of course she would want to be cautious that no one else in the house were to catch it. She explained to me how it was a little hard to separate her father form the rest of her family, especially her children. But eventually her children were able to understand that they couldn't go near their grandpa until he gets better so her father was completely isolated from the rest of them. She also said that luckily, he got better quickly. Her mom also tested positive after 3 weeks of learning that her husband had COVID-19. It then was the whole process all over again with separating her mother from the rest of the family. Being as Mariela and her husband were the only ones in the house who didn't have the virus, they were left to do EVERYTHING around the house. She realized how much of a help her parents were to her and how difficult it was for her to still be working, risking herself to exposure everyday and coming home to still be everything her family needed her to be.

Union County hospital employee is back at work after testing positive for coronavirus

Trinitas Regional Medical Center is in the process of notifying any patients who may have had contact with the staffer, the hospital's president said.

Trinitas Hospital is in the center of Elizabeth, NJ, where everyone goes because it’s the closest. When people think of a hospital, they think of safety, they think of people who are able to heal and make them feel better. They don’t think of it as a place where they go to feel better but actually leave with COVID-19. An employee at Trinitas Hospital who tested positive for COVID-19 and went back to work very shortly after. If a person was infected then they should've stayed home until they got past it. Instead they risked the health of the whole hospital staff and of the patients by being allowed to return back to work.

Life Comforting Others

Working in a pharmacy during this whole pandemic has been super stressful and rewarding at the same time. On a daily basis I deal with patients who are scared due to the virus and because how our officials are handling the situations. The constantly watch the news to see what they should be buying in order to be prepared for this. They end up in my pharmacy to find all these different things that the media and our President is telling them that they need in order to rise above the virus. They get so freaked out and worried when we’ve already been bought out by every other person who beat them to the punch. There are some people who are becoming a little selfish when it comes to the supplies to the point where they want to buy EVERYTHING we have in stock. They get frustrated when I tell them our policy is one item per customer, and they continue to get mad at us because they think that we’re hogging everything for ourselves and that don’t want to sell it to them.

This is a time to be scared, but this isn't the time to stop being humane to others.
