Time really flies so fast! Cliche as it may sound but it is especially when you have a child. It just feels like yesterday when I was just pregnant with Olivia then I finally held her for the first time.
She’s not a fragile infant anymore but a very hyper toddler already! She seems independent walking around and playing with everything she sees. She likes playing with anything electronics and climbing! This toddler should be carefully attended to, you cannot miss even just a second!
Though Olivia gives me a lot of scare I love this baby so much! She’s a sweet baby and is a joy to us! I cannot help but be marveled of her milestones. Much as I want to be with her 24/7 to witness everything, I cannot because I’m a working mum. That’s why it’s a pain leaving her every morning but a bliss when I get home. As much as possible, when I’m at home I give my full attention to her. I play with her and hug her and kiss her as often as I can!
This 52 Week Project is an inspiration from the blog Practising Simplicity.
There’s a common saying amongst mothers, first coined by writer Gretchen Rubin in her book The Happiness Project: “The days are long, but the years are short.” Indeed, our days of mothering babies and young children can be tiring and messy; a cycle of washing, settling, cleaning and playing. Sometimes they’re monotonous and seemingly endless. But then, without so much as a blink, the sleepless nights and mornings at the park are over, and we’re sending our children off to school, hesitantly cutting the metaphorical cord once again.
This Project is my way of creating portraits/memories of Olivia because, yes, time flies so fast :) My Olivia just got one year old last December 13, 2015 and for the week thereafter is my week 1. I hope that I will be able to maintain this so I could also make my blog active! Help me God!
