hey, was wondering if you would be cool with classpecting the main trio of jjk +gojo?
Back to answer TWO asks at once :^D
Itadori Yuji is an interesting character. He's a pretty straightforward and friendly guy. His most plot relevant points are that he has a near indomitable will, being.... the only character ? to actually be able to resist possession by Sumuka, a super powerful curse user back from the dead. And his incredible physical strength. Yuji is also very determined, kind, and genuine.
Page Of Light
One who creates [Light]/provides others with [Light]
One of the ideas that jumps right out at me, ironically enough, is the Page class. Which might seem weird considering Yuji is baseline a contender for worlds strongest human and as a reminder: Pages are notoriously weak. Well they are at the start at of their quest at least. The reason that comes to mind is a few. The first being that of anyone, including the main villain of the series, Yuji has arguably the highest potential of any of them. The whole "Being possessed by the worlds greatest curse user" thing he has going on is a big hinderance to him, but it's also revealed very early in the story that Yuji will eventually just learn how to use Sukuna's powers, as their souls mingle over time. That + Yuji's stupid strength already gives him more potential than the main villain- or at least puts him on even footing. There's more on this train of thought but in the interest of staying relatively spoiler free, you'll have to either trust me or read the story yourself. Suffice to say that is just the beginning. But also I think the Page class fits surprisingly well because he begins the story not even a sorcerer. He has no cursed energy at all! Meanwhile, every other relevant character has had years of practice AND comes from a bloodline that gives them special abilities.
Onto the Light part. Pages start of with a deficit of their aspect and I think it's fitting that right at the start Yuji gets a death sentence. He gets possessed by Sukuna, who is going to wreck shit and start a mass murder spree. Pretty bad luck. But! Oh hey he has the willpower to persevere and overcome this! But also this means basically anyone with a brain wants him dead because the second he slips up, Mr. Sukuna comes out to play. What's more, even if he somehow overcomes everything, he's still fucked as the strongest sorcerer alive (also arguably strongest ever) says that in order to eradicate Sukuna permanently they'll collect all his fragments (fingers), feed them to Yuji, and then kill him. The story is set up and the main character's fate is sealed. He will die. It might not be right now, but it'll happen.
I think there's a strong argument to be made for Heart, Breath, or Blood as well. Also probably for Heir! I'm kind of hoping @dubblephantasy comes in and completely dissagrees with my take here / gives their own. We shall see lol.
For those who have reah this far: Thank you! And, as a side note, I do wish I could focus more on this blog but at this point in my life the rare/unpredictable posting is the way it must be. I'm going to do my best to pump out the rest of the trio + Gojo soon. But as you may know with me. Haha. Time will tell. So long!
